How did you hear about Larry’s Think Daily?

Tue, Mar 9: To choose is to exclude

When you choose A, you exclude B at the same time.

When you choose this career, you exclude others.  When you choose to spend your time doing this, you exclude doing that.  When you choose to live here, you exclude there.  When you chose him or her, you exclude the rest.

Decide who and where you want to be.

Choosing is okay - and once you choose, make it great.

Mon, Mar 8: How to win a dispute

Show genuine love and caring toward the other person.

It melts their defenses and makes them forget their problem with you.

Love them - genuinely.

Who does it need to be today?

Fri, Mar 5: How to win a disagreement

Listen and ask questions.  Understand their point of view as well as your own.

Ask questions. LISTEN.

Who have you not been listening to?

Thu, Mar 4: How to win an argument

You can't - so don't argue.

If you assert yourself until you "win" the argument, you will lose the good favor of the other side.

Who likes their conquerors?

Nobody.  It's not worth it.  Don't argue.

Wed, Mar 3: When good advice contradicts good advice

All Think Daily messages (and most other ideas, advice and knowledge) are true.  All are untrue.  They are offered up for your consideration.

Those looking for hard black and white lines, may be disappointed from time to time.

"Work hard" - "Stop and smell the roses".  What's right?  Both.  Neither.

It all depends on what life you are trying to build.  Knowing what to apply and when, and what to throw out is up to you.  It always has been.

Think daily.

Tue, Mar 2: Pretend they are right about you

What do most people say about you to each other when you are not around?

The world is giving you feedback.

Listen.

Mon, Mar 1: Volume = Volume

Can you back off the AMOUNT of food you eat by 1/3 today?

Try it - ALL day.

Fri, Feb 26: Question Authority

Time and time again we see that the "authorities" are just people, prone to make mistakes.

The bigger the authority, the bigger the mistakes.

Common sense is the same no matter how big you scale it.

Right?

Thu, Feb 25: "I must defend!"

Feeling like you have to argue with others (everyone) about how your position is right gets you into arguments.

Just being a quiet example of your beliefs is a lot more peaceful example of an effective person.

Why fight?

Wed, Feb 24: What causes poverty?

Wrong question.  Poverty is the natural state of man.  We are all born with nothing.

What causes prosperity is the right question.

That we know the answer to.  Rule of Law, Property Rights, Individual Freedom.

Are you "fighting poverty", or "causing prosperity"?
